Target Groups

Green Deal emphasizes the critical role of education and training in empowering and engaging people for environmental sustainability and enhancing the skills and competencies required for the green transition. European Education Area emphasized that learning for the green transition and sustainable development requires effort and inclusion. The initial and one of the most important steps for assuring involvement in sustainability actions start with awareness-raising, followed by the internalization of responsibilities related to environmental problems. Recently, researchers also appoint that the most effective way to create change is to increase the training and awareness of individuals.

Students in universities, who are considered small-scale cities due to their high student population and diverse size urban and scientific activities, play a key role in raising environmentally conscious generations.

As a result, the target groups of the project in the first place are the university students and staff (both academic and administrative), and the program will be developed and implemented internationally to ensure dissemination in the EU countries.
