Prof. Dr. Adilia Januário Charmier (Researcher)
Prof. Dr. Adilia Januário Charmier (Engineering Faculty) is Organic Chemist, and the Director of the Bachelor of Biotechnology. Her main fields are extraction of natural products and organic wastes using classical and green technologies, namely microwave. Circular Economy and biocircular economy.
Prof. Dr. Cristina Guerra (Researcher)
Prof. Dr. Cristina Guerra (Engineering Faculty ) is a physicist and an expert in modelling microemulsions. She is the Director of the Engineering Faculty. Currently, her main field of interest is STEM training Education providing information on environmental sustainability. She is one of the members of the Sustainable Eco-Campus Commission at University Lusófona.
Prof. Dr. Anabela Gonçalves Cruces (Researcher)
Prof. Dr. Anabela Gonçalves Cruces (Engineering Faculty) is a Geologist and also the Director of the Bachelor of Environmental Engineering. Her main fields are water soils and sediment quality, coastal evolution, and environmental monitoring. Moreover, she developed knowledge transfer work in the field of Environmental Education with local communities, namely schools and municipal communities.
Prof. Dr. Elisabete Mauricio (Researcher)
Prof. Dr. Elisabete Mauricio (Engineering Faculty) is an expert in Food Technology, microbiology and recycling byproducts. Currently technical Director at Elisa Câmara industry, where she is responsible for the Research of Natural Cosmetic formulations. Moreover, her fields of work include solid waste management recycling. She is the head of the Sustainable Eco-Campus Commission at Lusófona University.
Prof. Dr. Vitor Antunes (Researcher)
Prof. Dr. Vitor Antunes (Engineering Faculty – Lusofona University) is a Civil Engineering expert in Transportation Systems, bituminous mixtures design and technologies; circular economy; eco-efficient pavement solutions; life cycle analysis; life cycle cost analysis; materials characterization; multi-recycling capacity of bituminous mixtures; pavement design, modeling, and maintenance; pavement materials; pavement performance; reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP); rejuvenation and ageing effects; reflective characteristics of bituminous mixture surface; sustainability; transportation.
Prof. Dr. Carina Almeida (Researcher)
Prof. Dr. Carina Almeida (Engineering Faculty) is an Environmental Engineering expert in environmental modulation. Her main field of interest and work are environmental analysis and GIS applications. In recent years, she has participated in several national and international consultancy and research projects, focusing on the theme of climate change and water management technologies.
Prof. Dr. Candida Manuel (Researcher)
Prof. Dr. Candida Manuel (Engineering Faculty) works on water and air microbiology, environmental sustainability, and performance.
Prof. Dr. Paulo Ferreira (Film and Arts Media Faculty ) is the Coordinator of Universidade Lusófona Digital Academy – Lusófona X. He is also the Coordinator of the Digital Marketing and E-commerce Post-Graduation programmes. He is responsible for the development and production of e-learning and distance courses.
